**The role**: We have a great opportunity for an Archivist/Document Controller to join our Glasgow site. You will perform a wide variety of routine tasks to support GLP and/or GMP contract testing laboratories. This is an excellent development role to enable you to progress to independent working within the Document Control Archive group. Quality is the foundation of our business and you will be primarily responsible for the archiving of BioReliance data in accordance with local procedures and regulations. Additionally the role is to promote and integrate quality into every aspect. The role involves the archive of documents required to support the operational and compliance activities of BioReliance. Some of you duties include:

- Comply with all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure training records are accurate.
- Participate in planning and scheduling meetings and help resolve schedule conflicts for team.
- Align with Health and Safety Executive regulations and undergo relevant training modules when required.
- Perform their duties according to the principles of GLP and GMP.
- Perform archiving activities, including documents verification and checks.
- Responsible for controlling the companies archive activities to ensure archive requests are completed to appropriate SOP standard.
- Responsible for maintaining the systems (electronic and paper based) to ensure that all data sent to archive is logged appropriately in order for these to be recalled from archive as and when required.
- Principle contact for off-site external archive provider, ensuring that the company requests for return of archived data is coordinated efficiently and in compliance with the relevant SOP.
- Responsible for ensuring that any documents returned from the external archive are returned within the timescale stipulated in the BioReliance SOP and highlight any exceptions.
- Issue document numbers and controlled documents (such as SOP, workbooks, validation protocols etc.) as requested to operational personnel and departments.
- Provide general support for the Archive function, within the company.
- Assist in the preparation of appropriate SOP and training.
- Prepare and report quality metrics to management.

**Who you are**:

- Ideally educated to Diploma level or similar type qualification.
- Ideally have a minimum of two years experience working within a similar type role within a regulated environment.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Good communicator, dealing directly and effectively with operational teams and QA colleagues routinely.
- Ideally experience of use of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Organised and logical in defining workload and delivering projects.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Data Entry.

**Please note travel to the Stirling site is required.**
