Gibbs & Dandy Leeds are looking for a Yard/Warehouse Assistant to join their team Our branch is well-established and busy, with a friendly team who work hard to offer a great service and excellent product knowledge. We have a sales office, warehouse, shop & counter, timber supply and customer delivery vehicles.

Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out. As a Yard/Warehouse Assistant, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and yard running smoothly. From serving our customers in the yard to loading/unloading vehicles, and from monitoring stock to growing our sales, in the warehouse area you will completing the orders from a picking list and getting them ready for dispatch, you’ll be at the heart of our operations.

The role is based both Inside picking and completing orders and outside, which means you’ll face the cold of winter and the warmth (hopefully) of summer, but we’ll provide you with the things you need to do the job, whatever the weather

So, what are we looking for?

A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a ‘customer 1st’ attitude
The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
Accuracy and attention to detail
A positive team player
A forklift licence would be also be an advantage, however it’s not essential as we can organise training for you.

Hours of Work - Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and the occasional Saturday from 7:30am to 12pm
