Tb Tester

Dyfed Farm Vets are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to train as an ATT and join our teams based in Carmarthen and St Clears. Together we cover farms in Carmarthenshire and surrounding areas of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Swansea. Approved Tuberculin Testers (ATTs) are Animal Health para-professionals with the authority to carry out statutory TB skin testing of cattle.

We are looking for someone with experience working with or handling cattle, who is a great communicator and takes pride in doing their job well and efficiently. The ability to adapt to different situations in a calm and diplomatic manner is also essential, as are problem solving skills and a willingness to work independently. This position could suit an individual with an agricultural related background or someone who wishes to take on a new challenge and enjoys being outdoors and working with cattle.

Training for this position involves a theory course and exam online before practical training begins on farm under the supervision of one of our vet team. A further practical exam follows the training. Full training and mentoring support will be given throughout the process, and the training is paid for by us.
