**The job itself**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Contract and Quality Assurance Team for a full time, permanent Commissioning Officer.

The Contract and Quality Assurance Team is a highly successful, rewarding, and fast paced environment which undertakes the contract monitoring and quality assurance of adult social care services contracted by the local authority.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, who is comfortable with large data sets and has excellent IT skills, with particular reference to Excel, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

**The Role**:
Key elements are:

- Develop consistent and reliable approaches to the collection and validation of data in respect of adult social care and related health commissioning activity
- Produce accurate and timely information on adult social care activities for senior management
- Analyse and interpret data appropriately to ensure that ad hoc and routine information produced meets the needs of internal and external requirements
- Audit and review data input and collection procedures and activities to check for compliance and accuracy of recording on the various systems used to generate performance information
- Support in the development of quality assurance systems and standards in conjunction with Management and other team members
- Contribution to the timely and accurate completion of returns and other internal and external reporting
- Establish and maintain relationships and develop and maintain effective operational working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

- be a self-motivated and an enthusiastic individual
- have a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure
- be an experienced computer user (both Microsoft Office Packages and database systems)
- be able to interpret guidance, devise and document processes
- look to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes
- have the ability to analyse and manipulate large data sets, with particular use of excel
- have the ability to develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- possess a practical and logical approach to problem solving
- be able to respond to high volumes of work and have a positive attitude to change

The team currently utilises a blended working (home and office) approach with some degree of flexibility around start and finish times.
