**Purpose**:
This is a hands on/off technologist role with a key understanding of the dynamics of the business, providing technical capabilities for our users and stakeholders with particular focus on the trading platform. The role is expected to build relationshipswith key stakeholders to ensure that a full understanding of the operational processes across all business functions is understood, and then generate solutions based on the extensive knowledge the post holder has of the Kerridge K8 platform and it's associatedproducts and modules.

Planning and delivering platform upgrades to enhance the service and maintain stability of our most important platforms.

Working collectively with the team, the business functions, and our end users to ensure a full understanding of what processes need to be defined and how the solution deliver this efficiently and effectively.

It is essential to nurture the team and ensure that their experience is shared amongst team members, recognising the need to never work alone and to share and build out capability appropriately within the team.

A strategic and tactical role which is focused on delivering excellence and dependability in everything we do. Working together to improve service delivery and structure whilst recognising that our internal and external customers are at the heart of whatwe are and do.

**Duties and Accountabilities**:

- The role has responsibility for both delivery and support of all aspects mentioned above, driving suppliers and 3rd parties to ensure a quality of service which meets the demand and requirements of the
- Manage the Application support analyst within the K8 team
- Planning workloads and requesting resource for projects when they are
- Escalation, risk, and issue management
- Communication planning execution alongside Group Communications resources and marketing
- Work to deliver activities with Service Level agreements, driving customer
- Ensuring that geographical considerations, cost, existing contracts, duration, service standards and supportability are all fully recognised and considered whilst planning the technology strategy for Group IT.
- Manage feedback and recognise that service improvement and our internal and external customers are at the heart of what we deliver from a technology perspective.
- Manage day to day spending on systems, platforms and supplier
- Agree and deliver new capabilities to our customers (Internal and external) and agree service
- Manage existing suppliers to ensure activities are being delivered and corrective actions and remedial plans are in place to address failings.
- Motivate and inspire members of the team by being driven, demanding, fair and considerate to the internal team and our suppliers.
- Ensure that Cyber security is a key considered, measured and appropriate, delivering a safe operating environment whilst not limiting our operational capability unless agreed in advance with Group IT
- Assist in the planning and delivery of Disaster recovery planning
- Project work managed and resource planning is a key consideration for this role as projects progress through inception and throughout the delivery.

**Qualifications/Technical Skills/Experience**:

- Extensive IT Management and delivery experience
- ITIL or Agile Experience
- Extensive K8 experience or other appropriate ERP platform
- Understand security principles and their importance
- Service level experience including planning and expectation
- Understanding of Network and infrastructure
- End user compute methodologies
- Budget management
- Supplier management and negotiation
- Technical understanding of all IT elements
- Planning, delivery and support experience
- Resource allocation and skillset development
- Team management and development
