**Job Title: Exams Officer**

**Position Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience

You will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient administration of all aspects related to examinations. You will be responsible for managing the examination process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with examination board regulations and internal policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Examination Coordination**: Oversee the coordination of all examinations, including scheduling, timetabling, and room allocations. Liaise with teaching staff to ensure accurate entry of students for examinations.
- **Examination Administration**: Manage the administration of examinations, including the distribution and collection of examination papers, attendance monitoring, and the provision of appropriate support for students with special requirements.
- **Compliance and Regulation**: Ensure compliance with examination board regulations and guidelines, including the secure storage and handling of examination materials, adherence to examination procedures, and the implementation of examination access arrangements.
- **Data Management**: Maintain accurate records of examination entries, results, and certification. Generate reports and statistical data as required by senior management and examination boards.
- **Communication**: Act as the primary point of contact for students, staff, and external stakeholders regarding examination-related queries and issues. Provide clear and timely communication regarding examination timetables, procedures, and results.
- **Training and Development**: Provide training and support to teaching staff on examination procedures, regulations, and best practices. Keep abreast of changes in examination board policies and procedures, and disseminate relevant information to staff as necessary.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify areas for improvement in examination processes and procedures, and work collaboratively with colleagues to implement enhancements. Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to enhance the student experience and improve outcomes.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational institution, preferably in further education.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of examination board regulations and procedures, including JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
