**Shift**: Any 5 out of 7 between Mon-Sun, opportunity to do extra hours during peak days. Hours: work 13:00-18:00 between Mon-Fri, Sat 13:00-15:00 Sun 11:00-17:00
**Hourly Rate**: £13.37 p/h
**Temporary role**: Approximately 6 weeks but may go on for longer depending on performance, attendance and work volume

Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source professional Delivery Drivers to support with their busy operation. This is your opportunity to have a real impact, in the heart of your community
**About the Postperson role**
You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route. You will collect your allocated vehicle and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the mail and parcels to your local community. Shift lengths vary between 6 - 8 hours per day. Please be aware that you will be walking more than driving and most Post people do over 20,000 steps a day.
**About You**
Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.
You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.
**Previous Experience**
- Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.- You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.**Driving licence requirements**
- A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)- Maximum 6 penalty points- Unfortunately, we are unable to accept IN/DD/DR/CD endorsements.
