Yard Supervisor

Here at GXO we are looking for a **Yard Supervisor **to join us at our site in Thatcham on our Heineken contract.

The Warehouse Yard Supervisor role has responsibility for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective running of the warehouse yard operations to the agreed budget and service targets, whilst implementing strategic operational and service improvements.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We are offering a salary of up to £30,000 with the working hours of 08:00 - 17:00. In addition, we offer 33 days holiday pay (inclusive of bank holidays). You will also have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Managing empties integrity, productivity and facilities within the warehouse yard operation
- Ensuring efficient planning, reviewing and communication of operational requirements and changes
- Monitoring operational and general business KPI’s, ensuring that they are met and improved upon
- Building relationships with the customer and offering excellent customer service within budgetary constraints
- Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency

**What you need to succeed at GXO**
- Exposure to operating within a commercial environment sufficient to develop effective customer service and commercial understanding
- Logistics management experience in a fast moving, multi-customer environment
- Strong warehouse system experience
- Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
