Reporting to the AJW Group Technical Manager this role is an integral part of the Technical Team within the Company’s operations.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of warranty KPI’s, housekeeping, providing guidance and support to Warranty Executives, reviewing warranty eligibility and related cost at the Operator and Part Number level as well as recognising and escalating any trends linked to component or Supplier performance, making sure company’s cost exposure remains low. This role is internally known as Warranty Team Leader.

**What you will be doing**
- Responsible for managing Supplier relationships with regard to warranty activity and partnering with internal stakeholders to achieve business line profitability.
- With guidance from the Technical Manager, to continuously assist with the implementation and monitoring of component repair and overhaul strategy that delivers on customer expectations (reliability) for each line of the business whilst delivering improved financial (maintenance cost) performance for the Company.
- Identify opportunities to drive improved direct maintenance cost per flight hour performance, including assessment and proposals for investment in reliability improvements, altering existing warranty terms, and negotiating warranty outcomes to AJW benefit.
- Acting as a first point of escalation in warranty disputes, helping to drive systematic and fair solutions.
- Responsible for the successful delivery of Warranty KPIs and providing day-to-day guidance and support to Warranty Executives.
- Responsible for Warranty KPIs, regularly reviewing performance via reporting activities and ensuring information is distributed to relevant departments or management.
- Ensuring proper and timely interrogation of the quotes and cost analysis within the team

- Extensive understanding of contractual liabilities and Industry Standard Agreements related to warranty and guarantee claims, as well as accounting mechanisms for claim reimbursements
- Knowledge of the aircraft component reliability and on-wing performance, airworthiness regulations, including industry practices and standards, with a strong understanding of fundamental airworthiness (part M, 21,145, 66, 147, DER, PMA, regulations [FAA/EASA])
- Consistently demonstrating strategic awareness and ability to put forward innovative suggestions to management with strong project management skills.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance practices and the ability to independently investigate and decide on complex technical issues and regularly assists lower levels with their queries and discuss technical issue with stakeholders.
- A data-driven mindset to enable better decisions making based on data collection and analysis to anticipate problems, optimise the lifespan of company/operator equipment and ultimately improve the customer experience.
- Good understanding of aircraft systems and individual components, as well as Airline maintenance, including industry practices and standards.
