**Rate**: £70-£100 per day, depending on experience

We are specifically looking for a** Support Worker** with knowledge and experience of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum, who can support children with special educational needs including ASD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties. There may be a requirement for _personal care_ when working on a 1:1 basis to support pupils with additional needs. You must be committed to high standards, actively promoting a safe, secure and happy learning environment that encourages pupils to succeed in often challenging circumstance.

You can expect to earn **up to £100 per day**, depending on the requirements of the role.

**Within the role you will be required to**:

- Provide calming and nurturing support for some of the most vulnerable students with EHCP’s in place
- Instil good behaviour management strategy in line with the setting policy
- Support the delivery of lessons to engage and enthuse learners
- Be a positive role model for the children, through commitment to the setting expectations
- Encourage the talents and abilities of all students to achieve academically
- Display an enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
- Show an interest in the children that you are working with, to build mutually respectful relationships
- Work effectively as part of a friendly staff team to support the children in your care
- Be resilient, not easily offended and able to de-escalate sometimes challenging situations
- There may be an element of personal care involved to support the children in their daily routine

**Skills and attributes**:

- **Experience of supporting SEN children in KS1/KS2**:

- Ability to relate well to pupils and young adults with additional needs
- Experience of working within a similar setting (care homes, hospitals etc) would be advantageous
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Team Teach or MAPA qualification desirable
- Experience of working with physical disabilities, PMLD, ASD or SEMH advantageous, but not essential
- A proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
- Able to manage and action a variety of issues relating to the well-being and safeguarding of children
- A valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
