(37.5 hours per week over 7 days, inclusive of evening and weekend working, between the hours of 6am & midnight)

**SALARY**:Between £26,380 & £28,507 per annum based on experience and qualifications

ABOUT OUR SERVICE

Our children and young people services are key in providing autism specific support, short breaks and early intervention for our children, young people, and their families.

This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation as we expand our services into the Highlands. A-ND currently consists of a Playscheme in Aberdeen and Outreach Support Services throughout Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray, our children and young people services are in high demand, and the need for our autism and neurodiverse specific support continues to rapidly grow.

We currently provide Outreach support to individuals ranging from the age of 4 years to 69 years old. The service currently runs from 6am until Midnight in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and in Moray. This is the first time we will be in the Highlands offering such a service.

Our strategic plan for 2022 -2027 was launched at the end of April 2022, we know we need to do more to ensure we reach the children and families who need our support, including expanding our current services and developing new ones throughout North Scotland.

GENERAL PURPOSE

This role comes with regular on-call duties and responsibilities, shared between the senior leadership team and wider leadership team.

The person in the role of Team Leader will be a member of the A-ND Leadership Team and while having a primary focus on the daily operational management of our services, will regularly work in collaboration with the Assistant Manager, Regional Manager and our business support team for specific functions of the role and contribute to the wider leadership of the organisation.

The person in the role of Team Leader will manage and supervise our team of Support Workers, with an expectation to support operational delivery by offering direct support to autistic and neurodivergent children and adults, ensuring an up to date knowledge and experience of direct practice and healthy balance of operational management.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To register with the SSSC as appropriate and maintain post-registration training and learning log to meet ongoing registration requirements.

To independently coordinate and manage the referral and selection process for individuals and services whilst reporting directly to the Assistant / Regional Manager.

To independently coordinate the implementation of appropriate personalised Personal plans for people we support, ensuring they are at the centre and involved in decisions about their own support.

To independently coordinate and implement Outcome Star for the people we support.

To provide direct one to one and group support to autistic and neurodivergent people and their families.

To support individuals using our services are enabled to enhance their social interaction, communication, and independence skills, supporting the effective monitoring, evaluation and evidencing of outcomes.

To independently coordinate the organisation and deployment of operational staff, providing quality and appropriate support, in line with Service Level Agreements.

To independently manage and coordinate the effective management of operational staff, including practice conduct, absence, support and supervision, and regular team meetings.

To independently contribute in the on-call support to operational staff, fully taking part in the organisations on-call out of hours rota.

To independently coordinate operational staff to understand and follow policies, procedures, CI Quality Framework and SSSC Codes of Practice along with the Registered Manager.

To independently manage to work positively and effectively with other members of the team and liaise effectively with families, agencies, colleagues, stakeholders and partners to foster long term relationships.

To independently provide representation for individuals using our services at formal meetings and reviews.
