Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator, Long Hanborough, 30 hours a week with FTE (37.5 hrs) £25-£28k pro rata.

About you:
The successful Logistics Coordinator will need previous experience of working within a logistics/shipping environment followed by experience in the following areas:
To contribute to the delivery of Operations, specifically Supply Chain activities/projects through undertaking the following:

- Exporting of Goods to customers globally, including the generation of Customs Invoices, Packing Lists, Crate Labelling and the management of Logistics Partners.
- Importing of Global Customer Returns, including customs clearance, and organisation of returns paperwork including customs invoices, and IPR reports.
- Issuing of Sales order Invoices to Customers following shipment of goods.
- Working with the Accounts Department to Reconcile Freight Invoices, Import and Export taxes and VAT in line with HMRC requirement.
- Management of the relevant internal Logistics databases.
- Management and Procurement of packaging materials.
- Communicating regularly with other members of the team, department and business to ensure a rapid two-way flow of information and contribution to effective team working.
- Agreeing relevant individual/personal objectives, targets and success criteria for assigned activities and own area of work that contribute to the success of the wider business.
- Agreeing on job requirements and competencies, participating in relevant training and development and asking for support as required.
- Monitoring and sharing own progress and addressing any changes, taking corrective action as required.
To have an interest and basic understanding of the latest developments within the scientific instrumentation field, particularly that of cryogenics and its uses within wider markets by:

- Developing knowledge and understanding of cryogenic products mainly around specific methods of shipment.
- Developing an understanding of the company's products and services.
To contribute to the overall Operations department objectives by:

- Identifying and utilising opportunities and suggestions for improvements and growth that exist within the team and department.
- Partake in continuous improvement activities in order to support continued progress within the department on processes and procedures.
- Proactively support your colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and best practices are utilised at all times.
To ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of financial and physical resources by:

- Maximising the use of resources and identifying and eliminating waste.
- Contributing to the setting of systems, policies, procedures and work standards ensuring that they fit and/or enhance with others used in the business.
Desirable Qualifications and Specialist Training but NOT mandatory:

- GCSE in Maths, English and ICT.
- IoSM Level 3 - Logistics and Transport Operations (Or Equivalent).
- No formal qualifications will be considered if demonstrable work experience, relevant to the role, can be proven.
Our client is offering a competitive salary of £25,000-£28,000pa pro rata, plus pension, flexible working, and an early finish Friday.
