An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time experienced and efficient Band 3 Administrator to join Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trusts Temporary Worker Service (TWS) as a Placement Officer located on the Norwich Community Hospital Site in Norwich.

The TWS currently operates between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, and there may be a requirement to work occasional Saturday’s from 9am-1pm. Therefore if successful you will be required to work shifts these days and between these times. Please note that there will also be some lone working involved and this role is office based.

We are looking for a versatile, friendly and enthusiastic person as this is a busy department, essential to the organisation.

You are also required to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as having excellent communication skills. You will be working with other specialist systems, be required to prioritise your workload, multi-task and have good organisational skills.

- To assist in co-ordinating the temporary worker services throughout the Trust, processing requests in a timely and accurate manner
- To contact members of our bank pool, liaise with agencies and ward managers in electronic, written and verbal forms throughout your day, establishing good relationships
- To optimise the use of the Trust’s temporary workers, minimising the Trust’s use of agency workers.
- To deal with routine and non-routine requests including shift and pay related, prioritising the workload accordingly.
- To be able to work with mínimal supervision using your own initiative and be able to prioritise workload.
- To undertake general office duties.
- To have knowledge and comply with all policies and procedures adopted within the Trust for Temporary workers.
- To actively participate in service development activities, ensuring the service is dynamic and reflective of the Trust’s needs.
- To arrange meetings as required, including booking of venues, taking accurate minutes/notes of meetings and taking responsibility for their distribution.
