**Senior Engineer / Senior Product Engineer | Sheffield**
**Competitive Salary and Benefits
Permanent: Monday to Friday - 25 days holiday + bank holidays.**
Outline of responsibilities for the senior engineer:

- Day to day responsibility for a number of small engineering projects / jobs, from design, to testing, through to production.
- Regular contact and liaison with customers and suppliers
- Developing detailed concept / innovation briefs, outlining requirements of required prototypes
- Working alongside colleagues across the business to understand, identify and develop existing processes and update / create associated documentation
- Provide support and training to other colleagues in the team
- Reviewing Process improvements on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that all technical information and copy created is correct in terms of any claims made of sustainability, performance, or origin.
- Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality & Compliance teams

Skills and experience required for the Senior Product Engineer:

- Demonstrable experience as a senior engineer / time served engineer in a technical engineering / mechanical engineering environment
- Mechanical Engineer with over 5 years engineering experience
- HNC / HND Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree / or equivalent qualifications including hands on engineering experience
- Strong design systems experience - AutoCAD ideally solidworks and 3D printing
- Knowledge of CNC tooling, or grinding or wiring
- Strong commercial acumen / awareness and ability to create productive relationships with customers
- Putting the customer at the heart of everything they do
