**Job overview**:
**We now have a vacancy ro work as a full time Band 4 Ultrasound Failsafe Co-ordinator based across Rochdale Infirmary and Royal Oldham Hospital.**

You will implement / maintain failsafe processes in Ultrasound to include database completion and be responsible for operational running of Ultrasound services to ensure safe processes are followed in maternity ultrasound.

**Main duties of the job**:

- To work independently and as a member of the Ultrasound team, using initiative, skills, knowledge and organisation to provide an efficient and high quality service, whilst dealing with patients and managing patient priority in a caring professional manner
- Responsible for the efficient and effective failsafe processes for the national screening programmes
- Implement failsafe processes where appropriate
- Work/ coordinate with the screening midwives
- Attend screening meetings
- Maintain accurate failsafe processes. - The ultrasound failsafe processes play a crucial role in the maintenance of safe patient care.
- To work in tandem with the co-ordinators within the Ultrasound service, dealing with staff and patients and provide additional support/ cover in either department when needed
- To lead on delivering new IT services/ ensure all staff are proficient with existing IT systems.
- Being a point of contact for the Ultrasound service and handling enquiries and passing on where necessary
- Prioritise and organise daily workload
- To assist in the management of the Ultrasound rotas
- To assist in the management of the Clinical Support Workers and their rota
- To demonstrate a range of problem solving skills to ensure service provision is maintaine
