**What will I be doing as a Schools Programme Tutor?**

A Schools Programme Tutor plays a critical role in supporting students' academic, personal and professional development through on an ongoing basis.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Deliver training and support to a small cohort of 14+ year olds on Nacro’s School’s and Study Programme.
- Conduct initial assessments for all learners enrolled onto Nacro Education programmes ensuring the needs of learners are met.
- Develop appropriate learning resources, facilities, and environment to support high quality teaching and learning.
- Assist in the delivery of all accredited and non-accredited qualifications and support the practical and theoretical elements of the courses offered through the Study Programme.
- Regularly review and monitor the attendance and progress of learners and follow up as required to ensure learners achieve their targets.**Requirements for this role**
- Teaching qualification CET equivalent or above. However, we can offer support to complete a teaching qualification during the probation period.
- Level 2 English and Maths or above
- IQA/Assessor qualification is desirable.
- A DBS check is essential.

**We are looking for the following skills/attribute**:

- Ability to engage with learners from different age groups.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills - ability to deal with conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work as part of a wider team.
- Communicating to a high standard at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Calm and objective when facing problems including dealing with challenging behaviour from learners.
- Previous teaching or learning support experience within an education setting is advantageous.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
