One of London’s most loved sushi and Japanese restaurants, SUMI is the little sister to sushi master Endo Kazutoshi’s eponymous Michelin-starred White City restaurant, Endo at the Rotunda. Named after Endo’s mother, SUMI is elegant and refined, yet warm and casual, offering an inviting neighbourhood setting in the heart of Notting Hill.

Sumi is led by Head Chef Christian Onia to incorporate Endo’s signature style into the menu at SUMI, taking inspiration and direction from Japanese traditions, while also paying homage to the many people and places that have inspired Endo on his journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in ensuring smooth operations by delivering food orders promptly and accurately to guests.
- Collaborate closely with waiters, kitchen staff, and management to maintain exceptional service standards.
- Provide attentive and courteous service, catering to guests' needs and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests.
- Assist with various tasks such as table setting, refilling beverages, and clearing tables efficiently.
- Uphold SUMI's commitment to excellence in hospitality, embodying the spirit of Japanese hospitality, or "omotenashi."

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- A passion for Japanese cuisine and culture is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
