School Immuniser

The School aged Immunisation Team are involved in the promotion, planning and high quality safe and efficient delivery of the School aged immunisation programme within Schools and Community settings across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire,

The team aims to improve the uptake and safe delivery of a large scale immunisation programme within Education and Community settings contributing towards the public health agenda by improving health outcomes for children and young people.

The purpose of this role is to support the planning and delivery of a high quality and efficient School Immunisation programme by meeting the needs of all children and young people groups including: Mainstream and Special schools, home educated children across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

The role is term time only and involves the administration of School age immunisations including Covid 19, FLU, HPV, MENINGOCOCCAL ACWY and Td/IPV in both education and community settings.

The Immunisation team has two bases one at Kingswood and one at Pill Clinic but the immunisations are given in Education and Community settings across North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire.The post holder is required to have a valid driving licence and have the use of a car for work purposes.Our core hours are between the hours of 0800 and 1800 flexibility is required to cover after school, weekend and holiday clinics. Mostly working within school hours.
