Part of the HellermannTyton group, the site has been operational since 1933 manufacturing and supplying products for fastening, fixing, identifying and protecting cables and their connecting components.

The HR Advisor has a generalist role responsible for the day to day duties of the HR function across HellermannTyton Manchester.

The role holder will work closely with defined site business areas in conjunction with the other HR team members to provide end-to-end support, advice and guidance to the site Management team and employees. As their first point of contact, this role will both advise and support on employee related matters and ensure a quick and accurate response on the best approach

The HR Advisor will work closely with HR colleagues to ensure the Department is providing an effective and professional service to the business, and will contribute and support in the roll out of continuous improvement projects for HellermannTyton.
- Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
- Reviewing and updating job descriptions
- Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies
- Coordinating the recruitment / onboarding process for successful applicants
- Monitoring and devising actions on key HR metrics, such as absence, turnover and retention rates
- Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes
- Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data (to include payroll related data)
- Identifying development needs with an active succession plan
- Suggesting new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations (e.g. ATS and HRIS software)
- Managing employee relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
- Supporting line managers with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
- Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees and other HR team members

**Qua**lifications, Experience, Technical Skills & Knowledge**
- Experience within a similar generalist role
- Organisational and administrative skills to manage workload effectively
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and written, with simplicity, clarity and conciseness
- A desire to get to the heart of the problem and devise solutions that fix issues
- Ability to advise, influence and persuade at all levels across the Company, showcasing strong inter-personal skills and self-confidence
- Use discretion and show integrity in all actions and behaviours
- Hands-on experience with IT programmes and HR systems
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
- Ability to complete work to a high standard and accuracy; delivers right first time
- Driven and determined, with a resilience to overcome challenges
- Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly and effectively and learn from mistakes
- Able to deal with multiple conflicting priorities, differentiating importance and urgency with tasks
- Good sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
- High level of computer literacy Microsoft office use of HR/UKG systems
- Graduate calibre fully CIPD qualified (or working towards)
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing/logistics environment.
