Energise are a sports organisation, aiming to inspire children and young people through sport and physical activity, and to develop healthy habits to last a lifetime.

The sports coach role will work across our programmes, such as school holiday clubs, after school and physical education sessions.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Build strong relationships with children and young people, inspiring them to take part in sport and exercise
- Lead the administration of sessions, including compiling registers
- Support all Energse events and projects
- Support the positive development and publicity of Energise
- Agree to abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with Empowr-U policies and procedures; including equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety at work etc.
- Ensure that all activities are delivered to the very highest standards
- To follow excellent safeguarding practice at all times

**Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Qualifications Essential Criteria**:

- Experience of delivering community sessions within a range of environments
- Knowledge and skills to deliver programmes to different groups, young people and different ability levels
- Hold either a Level 2 National Governing Body coaching qualification or Youth work qualification
- Hold or undertake a valid first aid certificate or willing to achieve if appointed
- Hold or undertake valid safeguarding certificate or willing to achieve if appointed
- A firm commitment to Continual Professional Development willing to develop skills in delivering sports.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience or desire to lead planning, delivering and evaluating of community sport sessions
- Hold a Level 2 National Governing Body coaching
- Driving License

- Can build positive relationship with young people
