We are delighted to be working on a exciting and flexible new opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to be part of this experienced Small Animal night team.

This is a well-established and highly regarded Veterinary practice located on the beautiful Cornish coast. They provide a wide range of high-quality veterinary services to our Small Animal, Equine and Farm clients and pride themselves on delivering exceptional veterinary care.

This is a large 16-vet mixed practice, with all the expected modern first opinion facilities, including an imaging suite with digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy; 2 large fully equipped theatres; drip pumps, fluid warmers and multi-parameter monitoring; dental facilities including dental x-ray; and a dedicated laboratory for in house testing.

A team player with the ability to work autonomously when required, you will have a can-do approach and a desire to collaborate with the wider team to maintain high standards of care and excel in the services on offer.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Patient handovers between day and night teams
- Management of hospitalised medical cases overnight
- Dealing with Small Animal Emergency calls forwarded to you by the OOH nurse
- Providing surgical, medical and ECC care to emergency presentations

Working on a three-week rolling pattern (7 nights in 21), the rota allows you to plan in advance and you’ll have plenty of downtime to focus on the priorities that matter to you. Work life balance is important, they are confident they can create a pattern that achieves the right balance for you. Career development will also be fully supported including funding of a certificate.
