**Your role**:
We have an exciting role available, at communications officer level, to develop photo, video and digital content to help tell the story of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) and its important role in our trailblazing city-region.

The role - part of the multi-award winning Greater Manchester Combined Authority Communications and Engagement team - will be dedicated to supporting GMFRS in achieving its vision of being a modern, flexible and resilient fire and rescue service.

GMFRS is one of the largest fire and rescue services in England. It covers an area of 493 square miles and a population of 2.8 million residents, with many others working or visiting the city-region.

The role holder will create engaging, inspiring and accessible digital content for use in internal and external campaigns, social media, traditional media, corporate reports and other materials.

The role holder will also manage an online photo and video bank of content and network of digital/physical noticeboards at all GMFRS locations, providing a structured programme of visual content in line with organisational priorities.

**About you**:
You will have experience of working with colleagues and other key stakeholders to create and commission accessible visual content portraying a positive, consistent and clear message, and managing the storage and sharing of this content.

**Hybrid working**

This role is part of GMCA’s hybrid working scheme. If appointed to the role you will work with your manager to agree and regularly review the best working pattern for you, your team and your work.
