Job role:

- To provide efficient copy typing and processing service for clinical staff as required in an accurate and timely manner, to include referrals, letters, reports etc. when requested.
- Administering referrals through Choose & Book/e-Referrals Service
- Monitoring ERS worklists daily
- Processing non-Choose & Book referrals via the relevant pathways
- Processing and actioning tasks relating to patient referrals
- Liaising with Secondary Care providers and other professionals by telephone as and when required
- Processing requests for medical reports, ensuring correct consent and advising on fee’s payable
- Communicating with patients/carers when required regarding outgoing referrals
- Ensuring policies and protocols set by the practice, as well as CQC protocols are always adhered to, maintaining high levels of service delivery to patients, clinicians and external providers
- Ensure all Information Governance policies are always followed, maintaining the highest levels of patient confidentiality
- Report any breaches of confidentiality, suspected breaches or other concerns to the appropriate colleague immediately in the appropriate manner
- To maintain the highest standard of behaviour, to comply with and follow practice policies, protocols & procedures e.g. health and safety, equality & diversity and to report any breach/suspected breach appropriately
- To undertake regular training and personal development
- To attend staff team meetings, provided both internally and externally when required

Previous experience is essential for this role.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 2-3 months
