A.P. Claxton Limited is a well-established and fast-growing independent bottler of single malt Scotch whiskies and other spiritous beverages, based at our bonded warehouse and production facility, just North of Dumfries in the Lowlands.

We manage a large portfolio of cask stock in maturation and the manufacturing of bottled spirits for a wide variety of customers, alongside our own quality focused product portfolio and brands, which we supply through an established and growing global distribution network.

The role will require some degree of flexibility and specific responsibilities could vary and develop over time, as the company continues to grow. Teamwork is essential. Co-operating with the production team and the rest of the administration team to deliver customer feedback, updates and deliver a top quality customer experience is the primary objective.

Therefore, we are seeking innovative, creative and solution driven individuals for this exciting opportunity with Claxton’s.

**The range of responsibilities will include**:
1) Managing customer accounts, including setting up new accounts and customer enquiries.

2) Credit Control and Company Cash Flow
- Managing creditors and debtors.

3) Procurement and purchase orders of key stock items from supplier accounts, including proof’s of delivery and stock adjustments.

4) Allocating incoming and outgoing payments on our finance system on appropriate ledgers.

5) Transaction reconciliation.

6) Quarterly VAT returns - With support from our external accountants.

7) Invoicing products and services.

8) Transfer of cask/stock ownership between customers.

9) Duty management and stock management systems.

11) Supporting the Directors with financial planning and development.

12) From time to time, as and when necessary, any other tasks associated with the Dalswinton Bond operations may be requested, so a flexible and dynamic approach is required, in a growing and exciting business.

**Additional Points**
- The salary for the post will commence at £28,000.00 per annum depending on level of experience.
- You will be entitled to access a company pension scheme after the probationary period is complete.
- Other financial incentives or bonuses may be offered from time to time depending on individual and team performance and at the director’s discretion.
- The hours of work are 40h per week as follows: 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday with half an hour for lunch break each day.
- You will be entitled to 28 paid days holiday per annum, inclusive of Public Bank Holidays, pro-rata to the Company’s financial year ending on 31 January.
- You may be required to work a different pattern or outside these normal work hours as the needs of the role and the business dictates from time to time. Equally we extend leniency on personal commitments which might overlap with standard working hours.
- Flexible working hours may be offered. In return, from time to time the employee will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to work hours e.g. If necessary, weekend and evening work with mutual agreement. Equally we extend leniency on personal commitments which might overlap with standard working hours.
- Additional workdays may be put forward at the discretion of the company.
- The contract has a 6-month probationary period.
- Full training will be provided, and support will be offered at all times.
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to the management on all aspects of the role.
