**An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager er to join this market leading manufacturer that operate on a global scale and have an excellent reputation for excellence and quality. The company have invested heavily acrossthe whole business including significant investment at their South Wales facility.**

**As an Engineering Manager you will provide leadership for the site's engineering resource, ensuring the business achieves best utilisation of all plant resources.**

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- 80% office based, 20% hands on being a visible leader, on the shopfloor
- Managing a team of 20-25 engineers (1 electrical supervisor and 1 mechanical supervisor included)
- Provide leadership in the engineering function to ensure the engineering resource at the plant work together to exceed in all applicable functional and business targets.
- Involvement in all recruitment into the engineering function
- Understand the need to make cultural change within an established cross functional engineering team.
- Provide functional representation in on-site meetings for HSSE development
- Provide leadership, in terms of the site's production function and the site's management team, in the drive for an environment of sustainable improvement utilising best practice Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Identifying capex projects
- Conduct appraisals, disciplinaries, training matrix development etc

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Graduate in an industrial engineering discipline (desirable)
- Previous managerial experience within Engineering
- Able to demonstrate experience of leading from the front and provide hands on leadership
- Engineering Management experience in a unionised process production environment
- Strong SAP experience

**Benefits Package**:

- £55,000 - £60,000 annual salary
- Performance bonus up to 15%
