**The Role**
We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our In-Patient Team.
The In-Patient Team is responsible for supporting patients through their treatment journey from their initial consultation through to their treatment outcome. The team provides a continuous, quality service to all patients by managing the patient flow efficiently, delivering excellent patient service and positive management of the entire patient journey.
The In-Patient team are a key point of contact for our patients and are expected to always provide the highest level of patient service.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Relationships**: Have the ability and confidence to prepare and deliver a detailed description of the patient journey. Support patients in all aspects of pre and post treatment, liaising with clinical teams for advice where required. Maintain a professional and caring demeanor, ensuring patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their treatment journey.
- **Patient Information**: Accurately collect and verify patient information and input it into our electronic database, managing data according to internal regulations and GDPR, ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
- **Case Management**:Manage and support the patient journey throughout each cycle of treatment using our patient record management system. All necessary actions should be completed in a timely manner.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with all departments to ensure a smooth patient journey, collaborating effectively with all team members. Attend team meetings to positively contribute to the continuous improvement of the team.
- **Administrative Support**: Organise prescriptions, filing, photocopying, and prepare patient notes. Maintain general administration functions and ensure they are carried out to the highest standard.
- **Quality Assurance**: Adhere to HFEA guidelines and keep up to date with current procedures and policies whilst always maintaining patient confidentiality.
**Required Attributes/Skills/Experience**:
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally empathetic with a passion for patient service. To have a proven track record of understanding a patient’s perspective with some interest in IVF would be a real advantage. We ask that you are confident in helping patients throughout their journey with us and that you are comfortable liaising with patients both face to face and over the telephone.
If you have excellent communication skills with an ability to build a rapport with your patients from day one, can confidently multi-task and are self-motivated, then you are the ideal person to help our patients. Compassion, tenacity, and resilience are key requirements for this role as patients will turn to you for support and guidance during what is a very exciting, but emotive and potentially difficult, time for them.
In addition to the above, it is essential that you are highly experienced in working with IT and IT systems, have first class organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your own workload and possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
