Wall Colmonoy are currently recruiting a Castings Fettling Operative.

A Castings Fettling Operative is a key role in the organisation to ensure that procedures and manufacturing processes are followed correctly in all aspects of the Casting area. It is the operator’s role to understand processes and procedures, to ensure high quality castings, whilst adhering to designated Health, Safety and Environmental practices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Follow the work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure that the process/processes are carried out correctly within the department.
- Highlight to the Production Supervisor any maintenance requirements or process limitations within your work area.
- Follow equipment TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) operations and checks.
- Adhere to designated health and safety requirements for your work areas and department including safe systems of work. Adhere to the WCL safety policy.
- Complete all process paperwork correctly with manufacturing data for Quality Control purposes and KPI data gathering.
- Meet daily production plan melting targets to ensure manufacturing program is being met and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are on target.
- Support departmental continuous improvement tasks and projects while highlighting improvement opportunities.
- Attend daily production meetings.
- Ensure good standards of housekeeping and storage are maintained within the work area during your shift.
- Ensure all environmental aspects and waste segregation are followed daily.
- Previous manufacturing background would be an advantage.

The role requires an individual who is prepared to take ownership and be accountable for the manufacturing process. A flexible can-do attitude is essential in this demanding role. External and internal training will be available to support successful applicant.

Shift Pattern: Mornings, Afternoons currently; however, expectation is to be flexible and be willing to work overtime.
