The post holder is responsible for providing a confidential, comprehensive and professional level of administration support to the Data Protection Officer and the Information Governance Team. The post holder will fulfil all tasks associated with the smooth running of the administration/assistance function of the Information Governance team, liaising with other departments as necessary.

Manage and operate an effective RA(Registration Authority) service and support the Head of information Governance to ensure safe, secure and appropriate access control to National and local patient clinical and information systems.
1. General
- To support Trust wide staff in the development of action plans in liaison with Information Governance stakeholders to support achievement of Information Governance standards
- To provide support to ensure that the organisation complies with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
- Organise own diary and maintain a flexible approach to registrations, displaying ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
- Provide administrative support to the RA Manager as required
- Validate new/temporary/locum users with appropriate ID, add new users to the system, issue smartcards to enable system access in accordance with the National process (via the RA01 form or interface from ESR).
- Liaise with IT Services to ensure relevant hardware and software is available to users e. smartcard reader and Identity Agent.
- Revoke or suspend a user’s certificate associated with access in accordance with the national p
- Ensure that the developed RA policy and processes are adhered to and implemented within Bolton NHS Foundation T
- Communicate changes to processes from NHS Digital website to appropriate workgroups and regularly update staff groups with new information as it becomes available
- Develop, maintain and train the User Sponsor netw
- Frequently audit own work to ensure procedures are being followed in line with Information Governance standard
