**About the stores**

Specsavers in Yeovil first opened its doors in 1991 as an optical business before adding audiology in 2006. The store sits in a prominent position on the main high street and is firmly embedded within the local community.

The store underwent an impressive refit in 2018, and boasts 7 test rooms, all equipped with Nidek Phoropters. The store has 2 pre-screening rooms, equipped with either OCT or a Tonoref - meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards. The business also has contracts to provide services to the DVLA and NHS post cataract patients.

Specsavers Yeovil is also an Audiology Hub with a dedicated audiology booth. It also provides audiology services to the 3 designated spoke stores of Chard, Street and Bridgwater.

Chard Specsavers also sits in a prominent position on the main high street, within walking distance of the main leisure centre and Sainsburys. Both optical test rooms have been recently kitted out with new equipment.

A team of 40 dedicated and passionate colleagues call these stores home, and they both benefit from the guidance of highly skilled and regarded DO Managers. You’ll be joining experienced directors Jason North, Retail Director and Suren Munirathnam, Optometry Director.

Both stores are located in the beautiful county of Somerset with less than 20 miles between them.

Yeovil, a thriving market town is known as being the centre of south Somerset for entertainment and shopping with a popular shopping precinct, a bowling alley and its own football club.

Yeovil is close to the Dorset border and the beautiful Jurassic coast. It is 40 miles south of Bristol, 30 miles from Taunton and 130 miles from London, for which Yeovil’s 2 railway stations provide direct links.

Chard, a charming historic market town is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. There’s something for everyone from quaint independent shops, bars and restaurants to craft markets, country parks and Chard reservoir. Situated on the A30 and the main London to Exeter route, Chard is easily accessible, plus the stunning coastline of Dorset and towns such as Lyme Regis and Seaton in Devon are less than 15 miles south.
