Our Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration was brought in-house in April 2021 and since then the team has evolved and grown. We have a Pensions Officer vacancy to join our friendly team who are committed to providing an excellent service to our scheme members and employers.

**The Role**:
Working to our Technical Adviser, the Pensions Technical Officer will provide day-to-day technical support for our pension administration system (Altair), keeping all aspects of it updated and configured to meet the full range of internal business processes and ensuring that all our standard internal documentation is correctly maintained. You will be responsible for managing all incoming iConnect electronic submissions from scheme employers and ensure that all follow-on outputs are generated for our operational team to action. You will also support the technical aspects of regular and ad-hoc projects managed by our Technical Adviser, such as bulk updates to member records.

**About You**:
We will expect you to have at least one year’s experience in LGPS administration or technical support. You will have a good technical knowledge of LGPS regulations and how this translates into the range of automated outputs required from the pension software system and the business processes needed to maintain the service. You will be confident in running reports, extracting, and handling large amounts of data, and preparing data load files for bulk updating. You will also have excellent written and oral communication skills so that all our procedural information is correctly maintained and be able to provide other team members with appropriate training to understand any technical changes affecting their work.
