Guardian Couple

**Salary**: £70,000+ depending on experience

**Job Summary**:
Experienced and capable domestic couple required for a beautiful home in Hampshire which is occupied approximately 90 days per year. You will oversee the smooth day to day running of the property and the live-out cleaner and maintenance person as well as look after the client when they are in residence. The family only ever spend a couple of weeks at a time in the UK and try and plan a year in advance.

There is also an element of travel required to their ski Chalet in France during some of December and February. They are always in the UK for Christmas.

You will be able to manage your own hours when the property is empty. When the family are in residence you will be required to be on call during the day, however you can split this between you so that you both get ample rest.

**Duties**
- Acting as the main point of contact for the property, taking a hands on role in the day to day cleaning and maintenance alongside a live-out couple. Duties will include but not limited to:

- Assist with housekeeping
- Prepare the house for the arrival of the family
- Managing budgets
- Managing two members of staff
- Take charge of paying household invoices
- Collecting and sorting post
- Dog care. They have two large dogs at the property who live in kennels and can be walked onsite. Cover when you are on annual leave can be arranged with the live-out staff
- Take responsibility for sourcing contractors for the property in France when needed
- Look after the cars
- Run errands and very rare driving duties
- Shopping
- Ad hoc Household maintenance tasks

**_ Cooking_**
- When in residence prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family. They like very basic and healthy dishes, such as fish fingers and homemade pies for the children and grilled meat and vegetables for adults.
- This role will be suitable for a domestic couple who can take autonomy over their duties and responsibilities. The client is happy on how you split your time and duties as long as the work is done, whether they are in residence or out, so if planned properly you will both have plenty of downtime.
- You will be confident undertaking your roles with mínimal supervision and be proactive in problem solving
- You need to have good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team
- It is essential that at least one of you is a confident driver
- It would be a bonus if at least one half spoke French, but not essential

**Accommodation**
- Annex, attached to the main house but separate entrance
- 1 bedroom
- Use of main kitchen
- Main house can be used as they wish when client not in residence
- Pets considered case by case basis
