Hgv Mechanic

Prest Engineering is a small but highly successful manufacturing, maintenance and repair company that has an excellent reputation for quality and service within many industries, such as quarrying, agricultural, food and civil.

We are looking for an experienced and versatile mechanic fitter to join our team. The successful applicant will be required to carry out routine inspections/maintenance on HGV’s, Trailers, Mobile & Fixed Plant as well as attending breakdowns and preparing road vehicles for MOT test.

The role is within a multi-skilled and flexible working environment and therefore skills in other trades would be advantageous. The work can involve working outside in all weather conditions.

Key skills required;
- Advise on requirements for mechanical/electrical spares and contractor input
- Full UK driving licence required
- HGV driving licence (preferred)
- Quarry safety passport (preferred)
- Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical system drawings
- Flexible and reliable
- Communicate effectively
- Highly motivated

Experience;
Previous experience in HGV maintenance

All CV’s required competitive pay plus overtime

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
