We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with excellent communication skills to join our team on Butterley Ward to provide administration support.

Duties will include managing phone calls, requesting and tracking notes and being an integral part in the functioning of the ward.

The role will be interesting and varied, giving you the opportunity to deliver highly professional administrative support to our ward based nursing and therapy team.

Acting as Ward Clerk to provide excellent front of house skills, taking messages, dealing with enquiries and actioning where appropriate.

Liaise with ward staff and relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team with regard to the admission, transfer and discharge of patients.

Prepare documentation relevant to the admission, transfer and discharge of patients and input information.

Process, store and transmit patient information using the computerised systems.

Ensure medical notes and multi-disciplinary team notes are collated and correctly filed ensuring confidentiality at all times.

Co-ordinate as required x-ray, chiropody, dental, optician, hairdressing and outpatient appointments.

Arrange and book ambulance and non ambulance transport as required.

Liaise with catering, domestic and portering services as required.

Photocopy, file and distribute information as requested.

Prepare weekly/monthly statistics as required.

Collate information, carry out audits and surveys as requested.

Type all correspondence (eg letters, minutes, etc) for Ward manager and members of the multi-disciplinary team as requested.

Re-order ward supplies, including stationery in conjunction with Ward Managers.

Carry out any photography required for patient and staff, print and process.

Report faults and defects to Estates Department.

Participate in ward meetings.

Demonstrate duties to new starters.

Provide cover to other wards in the absence of other ward clerks.
