Decontamination Assistant

We have an opportunity for a Decontamination Assistant to join our Portman Smile Clinic practice in Margate.

This position is available on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

Portman Smile Clinic Margate have been providing clinical orthodontic expertise to both NHS and private patients in the Margate area for many years, with a skilled approach to the individual need of every patient.

Located in the heart of the town centre on the High Street, our Portman Smile Clinic are your Specialist Orthodontist in Margate and just a few minutes’ walk from local amenities and shops. We are a 10-minute walk along the seafront from the bus stop and the railway station, plus numerous seaside attractions if you're in Margate for the day.

No previous dental experience is needed for this role. Working in a friendly and professional environment, you’ll work collaboratively with the practice team to support the decontamination, sterilisation, packaging and storage of dental instruments for use within the practice.

Hours
- Part time hours - 1 day per week
- Thursdays 8.30am - 5.30pm

About you
- Enjoy working in a methodical, process-led way, and comfortable to work alone as well as part of a team
- Keen to learn how to perform sterilisation processes, as well as all relevant health and safety guidelines
- Previous experience in a similar clinical setting is helpful, but not vital.
