The SIPP Business Area acts as Operator and Administrator providing self-invested personal pension services to institutional clients, financial advisers, and ultimately retail customers. **We are seeking a Product Owner (SIPPstream) for our team in Cheltenham,**
**reporting into the Partner & SIPP Change Manager.**

The SIPPstream Product Owner will support the Operations Change Manager who is responsible for the SIPP Change Team. The team’s overall aim is the successful delivery of business change through focused projects, often involving new technologies, product innovation and major process improvements. As a Product Owner for the SIPPstream system you will work closely with both the SIPP business area and the IT software development team.

This is a replacement role, but also times perfectly with the beginning of an exciting transformation period within SIPP. We envisage the next 5 years of SIPP growth to be a key diversifier for Barnett Waddingham in terms of increasing the administration function of personal pensions. To achieve the digital scalability required we need to significantly enhance our software system (SIPPstream). Making use of cutting-edge technology, the new APIs and microservices will put the customer journeys front and centre. The Product Owner will take responsibility for the transformation of SIPPstream, leading us through an innovative build phase, and managing the ongoing development cycle.

The role is located at our Cheltenham office with attractive hybrid home-working and flexibility, where you can share your time between your home and the office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overall ownership of the SIPPstream software system including all components and integration points.
- Take ownership of large/complex Products for the SIPP Business Area.
- Identify developments and enhancements to ensure Products continue to meet business and legislative requirements; understand and anticipate the business needs.
- Manage, maintain and prioritise the Product backlog according to business value or return on investment.
- Map out project dependencies to determine the necessary sequence of development.
- Develop the Product Roadmap to identify actions, track progress and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Work alongside the Team Lead / Scrum Master to manage sprints and maximize output from the development resource available.
- Communicate with stakeholders and the development team to make sure goals are clear and the vision is aligned with the business objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for developer queries, business analysts, testers and other stakeholders. Understand any wider problems being presented and offer up solutions.
- Present to stakeholders and ensure the Product delivered meets the business need.
- Effectively communicate Product releases to the Business area.
- Manage and develop a team of Business Analysts.
- Work in conjunction with the Composer Product Owner where applicable to manage dependencies and ensure consistency throughout the end to end administration processes and journeys for operations staff.
- Support, Implement and Maintain Information Security procedures and activities in accordance to Barnett Waddingham’s Information Security Policy.
- Any other reasonable task as advised from time-to-time.
