- Job description- These roles are key to delivering the Environment Agency's (EA) Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) function. The main tasks you will be working on will be;
- giving flood risk advice and guidance to customers and partner organisations, including community groups and local councils.
- responding to enquiries and requests for flood risk mapping and modelling data

You will be based in one of the Thames area Partnerships and Strategic Overview (PSO) teams. You will have a designated base location but will work from home.

- The team- PSO have a range of responsibilities relating to the management of fluvial flood risk. Tasks include;
- Work with Local Councils, flood groups, other partners to deliver FCRM outcomes
- Provide advice to councils about the impacts of development on flood risk (Town and Country Planning Act 1990)
- Assist incident response to floods and other environmental incidents
- Experience/skills required- On the job training will be provided. Experience of one or more of the following fields would be beneficial but not essential;
- Town and Country Planning Act 1990;
- Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2016;
- Community Engagement;
- Hydraulic modelling/Geographical Information Systems;
