**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As Head of Real Estate Facilities, you'll lead the management of an effective, professionally driven, and high-quality Facilities Management function. You'll be responsible for the global budget creation and management along with the delivery of hard facility management (FM) activities, including reactive works across all sites and operations within OUP’s global portfolio (freehold and leasehold) across 36 countries.

Reporting to the Director of Global Real Estate, Workplace and HSS, you'll work to develop and manage a service delivery model for each site alongside any local facilities teams to optimize FM efficiency.

Key accountabilities:

- Evaluate workplace operating model for all regions
- Define functional and technical specifications for services and implement SLAs/KPIs in Supplier Contracts
- Identify, implement, and maintain sustainability initiatives in Facilities Management
- Ensure compliance with OUP and local HSS statutory and standards
- Support the site operational teams to deliver exceptional workplace experience throughout the globe
- Ensure the RE&W teams’ vision, standards and policies are implemented, managed and adhered to within each area
- Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders by monitoring and listening to feedback, new site launches and facility improvements.
- Create strategic approaches for operations requirements and solutions identifying improvement opportunities and synergies
- Provide a life-cycle perspective for managing and delivering facility related services
- Lead, plan, communicate and deliver agreed changes to improve performance to all sites.
- Implement and manage an effective maintenance planning and work order system, developing key measures to monitor and control progress
- Develop and take responsibility for the overall performance ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are delivered
- Undertake vendor rationalisation initiative in conjunction with procurement with tendering services to ensure value for money and a consistent approach for hard FM services across the contracts in compliance with contractual and legal requirements to enhance service quality to customers
- Provide a consistent approach and escalation path for managing third-party providers across multiple regions
- Ensure that all relevant financials by country, building and projects are aligned with budgets, compliance and specific timelines
- Develop the talent of team members and build a culture of continuous improvement driven by metrics, benchmarking and standard methodologies

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

**ABOUT YOU**

Essential:

- Proven experience in a leadership role within Facilities Management, including management of teams directly and remotely
- Project management (Capital projects)
- Significant business experience in facilities management, engineering, or corporate services
- Experience in a similar role and a track record of delivering performance/service improvement across multiple functions and geographical areas.
- Experience in implementing Supplier Contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Deep understanding of all aspects of Landlord & Tenant occupational needs
- Understanding of the whole property life cycle
- Effective time management and organizational skills; balance multiple priorities
- IWFM/CFM Facilities Management or relevant experience/qualification

Desirable:

- Experience managing international multi-site portfolio
- PMP/Prince2, or equivalent
