**We are seeking a dedicated warehouse operative to join our thriving raw dog food business, North Wales Raw Feeds, based on the Llandygai industrial Estate in Bangor, Gwynedd.**

**You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of our warehouse, in a comfortable inclusive environment. Working with a small, lively team, you will be assisting with our 100+ orders a day being picked, packed and dispatched via courier to every corner of the UK.**

- Applicants should note this job involves working in and out of industrial freezers at temperatures of -18 degrees celsius._

**This position involves picking customer orders and will be a 7am-11am Mon-Fri shift.**

**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Picking and packing customer orders of frozen feeds and dry goods (up to 30kg per box), organising and labelling shipments ready for dispatch
- Safely and efficiently load products onto delivery vehicles, securely stack and arrange items to prevent damage during transit
- Unload incoming deliveries from suppliers (up to 30kg per box) and verify against purchase orders, inspect and report any damaged or missing goods to the relevant department
- Break down pallets and separate products for proper storage
- Promptly report any damaged or missing products to supervisors, complete required documentation and communicate issues to appropriate departments
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records, as well as monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors when reordering is necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the warehouse, regularly clean work areas, shelving, and equipment
- Adhering to operational schedules such as noting batch numbers and freezer temperatures
- Work proactively as part of a team to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines, communicate effectively and provide support as needed

**Key Competencies**:

- Good planning and organisational skills
- Understanding of proper food handling and storage practices, including knowledge of temperature control and cross-contamination prevention
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy crates of raw dog food
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management. This includes reporting inventory discrepancies, providing feedback, and participating in team meetings
- Keen attention to detail to accurately process orders, maintain inventory records, and ensure product quality including checking product labels, expiration dates, and packaging for any defects or damages
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in tasks or work schedules as needed
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and reporting any hazards or incidents promptly
- Collaboration and cooperation with colleagues to achieve common goals and ensure efficient warehouse operations. This includes assisting team members when needed, sharing knowledge and expertise, and promoting a positive work environment
- Ability to identify and resolve basic operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during warehouse operations

**Education and Experience**:

- Experience of or ability to work proactively as a part of a team
- Effective problem solving skills
- Willing to undertake reasonable training as requires
- An interest in dogs and raw feeding is desirable but not essential
- A basic level of computer literacy is essential
- English & Maths GCSEs desirable
- Welsh language written and spoken desirable but not essential
