An exciting opportunity for a self-motivated **Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer** who will support the design and development of powertrain within WAE. Join one of the world’s fastest-paced race teams, working for a rapidly growing electrification company.

**Job role**:
- Design & Development support of Formula E and next generation powertrain. Including, but not limited to: MGU, Inverter, Low voltage power systems and Test Equipment.
- Research and Development for future powertrain projects in the powertrain group.
- Design and deliver robust and reliable high-quality designs where required. From concept evaluation to finished product.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other departments ensuring an optimised and joint design approach is taken.
- Supporting physical build and prototype evaluation of powertrain.
- Support on vehicle testing and troubleshooting (Rig and Track) where relevant.
- Assist in Identifying ways to improve the department and personnel performance.

**You’ll have**:
- Industry experience and/or a relevant degree (BEng or Masters).
- A ‘can do’ proactive attitude supporting and collaborating with others.
- Experienced in design review activities and design validation techniques.
- Experience with working to tight deadlines and budgets.
- Proficiency in CAD and a good eye for detail. Siemens NX preferred, but all other platforms considered. Excellent understanding of GD&T required.
- Understanding of materials/ manufacturing processes/ and design first principles.
- Understanding of HV systems and electrical packaging. HV training will be given regardless.
- Experience of traction inverters and/ or motor design. 100kW+ would be advantageous.
- Electromagnetic design of traction motors and use of MotorCAD would be advantageous.
- Practical experience and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
- A flexible attitude to working hours.

We are currently based on the Williams technical campus in Grove, Oxfordshire, UK. 20 minutes’ drive South of Oxford, UK. However, this role will be based in our new facility in Kidlington (north Oxford) which we aim to occupy by Q4 2023.
