Summary

We are looking to recruit two Grounds and Estate Operatives to assist the team to deliver our Grounds and Estates Services.

**LIVE **WORK** COLLABORATE**

We are creating a brand-new team within Property Services to take on the ground maintenance and estate services for the sheltered schemes and the estates across the county. As well as grass-cutting, hedge and shrub maintenance the team will be keeping the estates tidy, clearing out void properties and maintaining their gardens so we can let them.

**About the Role**

This will be a satisfyingly broad role, stretching from delivery of scheduled programmes of works and any reactive works that are required and to maintain sites and areas to an agreed specification, ensuring support to the Grounds and Estates Team Lead and Senior Grounds and Estate Maintenance Operatives ensuring daily activities are carried out as per instruction and with adherence to all health and safety and safe working practices

Along with the Senior Grounds and Estate Operatives this role will also have shared responsibility for the maintenance and safe storage of all associated vehicles, tools and equipment and chemicals.

**About You**

Ideally, you will have a gained expertise over the years in grounds maintenance, specifically for a local authority. You’ll bring us proven experience in working with all associated grounds maintenance equipment and hold qualifications in their safe use.

You will be expected to deliver grounds and estate works, while being hands on and assisting with the more specialist works required. Technically, your knowledge spans, HSE guidelines, COSSH, H&S legislation, and of course delivering grounds maintenance and estate maintenance.

We’re looking for a positive problem-solver who has proven they can cultivate great working relationships, defuse difficult situations and can liaise with our residents and resolve any concerns patiently.

**The hourly rate is from £10.60 to £10.98 per hour depending on skills, experience and qualifications, for a 37-hour week. Annual salary from £20,441 - £21,189.
