**The Role**
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead on our autism strategy and work in Tameside.
- The post is part of a new learning disabilities And Autism Social care management team to support adults with a range of complex needs.
- This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to play a key role in developing offer locally to our autistic communities.
- This post will require a range of skills focused on engaging and working with local partner organisations including engagement with autistic adults and their carers to support the development and implementation of the local autism plan and offer. This will include ensuring that information and advice is accessible, and that we fully engage people with lived experience in informing service developments.

**About You**
- The successful applicant will report to the Assistant team Manager with responsibility for our autism offer, strategy and engagement with the community but will also need to have the skills and confidence to work with a range of different senior officers, managers, and practitioners to help instigate change. The post will involve attending Tameside and Greater Manchester working groups and Boards to report on progress and contribute to wider development and positive change in this area. This will be essential for learning and sharing information as part of the wider development of autistic services in the borough.
- It is essential that the applicant has good interpersonal skills to assist in effective communication to aid relationship building to help instigate change and improvement. The applicant should have good organisational and project management skills in terms of managing a diverse range of competing priorities across several different project plans. This is priority work, and it is essential that set deadlines are met and progress is measured and achieved.
- You will receive regular supervision, support, and training to ensure your continuous professional and personal development. You will be part of a wider team including partner organisations to ensure delivery of the transformation in this area.
- Experience of successfully working on projects and managing plan implementation is essential.
- Experience and knowledge of working with autistic individuals or personal experience is essential.
- It is essential that you hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use.
