**OUR MISSION**

Planet Organic, the UK’s first organic supermarket, opened in 1995 and changed the way the UK thinks about food. With a mission to promote health in the community and support the earth’s biodiversity, we challenged conventional retailing and showed that values-led, commercially driven business is Good Business.

**ROLE OVERVIEW**

Planet Organic is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Food Buying Administrator to join our team in London. The role primarily involves providing administrative support to the Buying team, ensuring efficient procurement processes, maintaining accurate records, and fostering effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the Buying team in managing the administrative aspects of the procurement process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier agreements, contracts, and product specifications.
- Liaise with suppliers to arrange new product listings, promotional activity and joint business plans.
- Support in organising meetings, presentations, and product evaluations with suppliers, recording meeting minutes, and following up on action items.
- Assist in the analysis of market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights to the Buying team.
- Handle administrative tasks related to product recalls, quality control, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain various reports, documents, and databases related to purchasing activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient procurement processes and systems.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Passion for organic, natural, and sustainable food and drink products.

**BENEFITS**
- Receive a competitive compensation package along with employee benefits, including 35% colleague discount across all stores and online and 33 days holiday per year including bank holidays.
- Be part of a welcoming team that's dedicated to making a positive impact on people's lives.
- Immerse yourself in the world of food and drink buying, gaining hands-on experience in curating an organic, natural, and sustainable product assortment.
- Enjoy a flexible and inclusive work environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
- Embrace growth opportunities as you learn from experienced senior buyers and industry professionals.
- Planet Organic is committed to breaking down the barriers that block employment opportunities for different groups of people and to recognising, accommodating and appreciating people’s different backgrounds, experiences, knowledge and skills. We are committed to encouraging diversity among our workforce in every sense. The aim is for our colleagues to be truly representative of our local communities and our customers, and for each colleague to feel respected and able to give their best._
