**Materials Picker - Laser Operative**

JOB ROLE AIMS

To pick materials for the daily cutting schedule of JB Engineerings ‘Trumpf’ laser cutting machine.

To maintain Stock levels within the workshop and return laser cutting offcuts back in to the allocated stock area.

To manage material area which includes sheet metal, tubing, and other stock.

To provide support to Operations Director in delivering customer orders.

To contribute to the efficient running of J B Engineering (Hatton) Ltd laser department.

JOB ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Pick materials for the daily laser cutting schedule.
- Return finished off-cuts back into stock.
- To maintain any required records (including material test cert numbers)
- To manage material area, keep tidy, indexed, and safe to work in.
- To maintain safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- To maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- To load and unload using a forklift truck with in the Workshop and including of loading and unloading Delivery lorries.
- Help prepare customer orders, for example deburring, wrapping orders or loading customer deliveries.
- To carry out House-Keeping tasks, such as keeping the work area tidy.
- Other reasonable tasks from time to time.

OTHER WORKING REQUIREMENTS
- Full Driving License essential.
- Excellent practical driving skills.
- A forklift license would be an advantage.
- The ability to work quickly and to meet tight deadlines.
- Lifting and carrying skills.
- The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, meet tight deadlines and be self-motivating.
- Strong Communication skills.
- A good eye for detail and work well under instruction
- This is a physical job; you will be working on your feet.
- Keen and eager to learn new skills.

Hours of work will vary. There is an immediate start available for the right person.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £11.00-£11.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
