JOB SUMMARY

Are you a passionate horticultural expert with a flair for teaching and inspiring others? City College Peterborough is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Horticultural Tutor to join our dedicated team within the Learning for Interests department. This role provides a chance to contribute to the growth and development of our adult learners (aged 19+) in the fascinating world of horticulture.
As a Horticultural Tutor at City College Peterborough, you will become an integral part of our team of experienced professionals, working together to deliver high-quality education and enriching experiences to our diverse group of adult learners. Your expertise in horticulture and your ability to create an engaging learning environment will empower our students to flourish and reach their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Deliver inspiring and informative horticultural lessons that cater to the needs and interests of adult learners.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of various horticultural practices, techniques, and principles.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages active participation and collaborative learning.
Support and guide learners in their horticultural journey, offering constructive feedback and personalized attention to facilitate growth.
Stay updated with the latest developments in horticulture and incorporate them into your teaching methodologies.

**Requirements**:
Extensive knowledge and experience in horticulture, along with a passion for sharing your expertise with others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with and inspire adult learners.
Proven ability to create engaging lesson plans and deliver dynamic teaching sessions.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, ensuring effective planning and delivery of courses.
A commitment to continuous improvement, staying informed about advancements in horticultural practices and education techniques.
