We are looking for a Yard Operative for a leading hire company to be based in the yard and able to assist by driving the company vans if required. Overtime and weekends available.

**Yard Operative**

The company provides hire services to the construction and event industries. Products hired include portaloos, luxury trailer units, welfare cabins, canteens and stores. They also provide a range of services to empty and clean toilets whilst on hire and re-stock any consumables required.

**Duties**
- Comply with all H&S requirements and maintain high level of housekeeping
- Ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient and polite manner
- Goods in/out - using appropriate methods and machinery to unload and dispatch goods Keeping all plant and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or faults as required
- Maintain high levels of vigilance to secure site and protect assets
- Carry out servicing duties for each portaloo or welfare unit
- Provide any ad-hoc support and carry out any ad-hoc tasks as may be necessary

**Skills**
- Clean driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years
- Physically fit and able to drive and work on their own initiative throughout the day
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers
- Prepared to occasionally work overtime or at weekends to meet customer demand

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour
