**The Company**:
Start Fitness is one of the largest fitness retailers in the UK. Having been trading for over thirty years from their North East base, the business remains a household name in the region, whilst continuing to grow its reputation on a national & international footing. Operating from multiple sites in the region, they have developed a strong, and still growing, e-commerce offering over the last decade, selling into global markets. The organisation continues to grow upon their successes despite the recent economic challenges and are recruiting for a marketing & content executive to help them on their journey.

**The Opportunity**:
**Summary of Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage all company social media accounts, whilst aiming to expand reach and following, ensuring frequent engaging activity
- Ownership for growing our Start Fitness community through social platforms as well as in person events
- Works alongside our senior creative designer to develop engaging and innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and closely engage with our audience at an interpersonal level, as well as manage pre-built campaigns
- Works with other departments to develop social media timelines coinciding with new product releases, ad campaigns, or other brand messages, considering tone of voice and demonstrating strong copywriting skills
- Translate briefs into inspired design and creative solutions, thinking creatively to produce new ideas and designs
- Create and manage a monthly content calendar, ensuring it is fully compliant with each brand and social channel, aiming to grow via organic and paid methods, managing the paid social advertising budgets and ROAS
- Coordinated planning with brand ad campaigns to ensure that brand messaging successfully translates onto social channels, as well as managing give-aways
- Lead our ambassador and influencer strategy whilst liaising with content creation partner agencies where required
- Be an active member at our sponsored events, driving increased awareness of our nationwide support for events across multiple disciplines at various levels
- Monitoring social media trends and industry competitors, identifying opportunities and risks, and making recommendations to drive business growth
- Analysing insights and algorithms regularly, and having the ability to learn from both successful and poor-performing content

**Person Specification**:

- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment and can react quickly to changing demands, priorities, briefs & deadlines
- Have a high interest in running, cycling, fitness and sports
- Proficient within Adobe creative suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom
- Must have a highly creative and imaginative mindset, supported with numerous relevant examples
- Knowledge of all major social media platforms and keeping up to date with social and digital trends and strategies
- Solid understanding of the technical aspects of social media and how these fit into different strategies and tactics
- The ability to add value to a brief, using your skills to create engaging materials
- Demonstrate key behaviours - commitment, positivity, passion, collaboration
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- An ability to develop own content, using creative techniques often with a frugal approach
- Aptitude to perform own photography and videography to a good standard will be seen as a distinct advantage

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
