Groundcare Mechanic

Gibsons Garden Machinery Ltd, is a leading Ground Care and Agricultural Machinery dealership based in the North of England.

With over 40 years’ experience in supplying Kubota tractors, high quality professional groundscare machinery and after sales support.

We are currently looking to recruit 2 Service Engineers
- 1 based at our depot in Colne, Lancashire and 1 based at our depot in Haydock, St Helen’s

As a Service Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be:
**Job Function**

Performing service, repairs, maintenance work and diagnostics on tractors and professional ground care equipment.

**Essential Duties**
- Service and repair on a wide range of equipment from walk behind mowers to full size tractors
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on both new and used equipment
- Complete workshop job cards and any admin work required (job cards - timesheets - risk assessments)
- Maintain a clean work station and assist with workshop organisation
- Support service team
- Attend service training certification programmes for the development of skills and knowledge
- Follow all safety rules and regulations

**Skills and Qualifications**
- 1+ years’ experience in performing services and repairs
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the service/repair of agricultural / grounds maintenance equipment
- Able to carry out repairs and maintenance using diagnostic equipment
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems including hydrostatic drive systems
- Knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
- Ability to work on both own initiative and as part of team

**Additional skills**
- Clean driving license
- Interpersonal skills - cheerful with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Flexible to changes in working hours and travel when required
- Ambitious, keen, willing to learn

In return for this you will receive a competitive salary with the OTE between £28,000 to £35,000
