**Description**

The role of Transport Planner in Redditch will involve:

- Plan and co-ordinate all transport routes mainly throughout the UK and Europe taking account of cost and time efficiencies and availability of drivers and vehicles.
- Forward planning for all general deliveries and collections.
- Answer calls and taking ownership of any queries to make sure they are dealt with in a reasonable timescale.
- Complete any KPI's and reports requested ensuring accuracy and an appropriate level of detail.
- Knowledge of driver worker hours and tachos.
- Other transport based tasks as required.
- Other duties as reasonably required by the Company.

**Profile**
- Previous transport planning experience.
- Good working knowledge of a transport office environment.
- Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and be highly motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Competent and confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Systems.
