- Vacancy ID 13891- We are currently recruiting for a temporary Events and Digital Assistant to work on site at one of our centrally based departments starting ASAP for approx 12 weeks worrking 36.5 hrs p/w and paying £13.44 p/h**Duties**:
Support the events team to ensure a flow of high-quality and topical debates and

lectures in the School. You will help to organise these events in advance, undertake administration related to the events, ensure they run smoothly on the day and keep accurate records of invitations and attendance. This will involve evening work and occasional weekend work during particularly busy periods of the year, and assisting the School reception desk staff where necessary including providing cover when a member of the team is on annual leave or unwell; duties would include meeting and greeting visitors, taking phone calls and dealing with building contractors.
- Play a role within the project team for flagship annual School events such as the

Kyoto Prize at Oxford. You will be involved in the logístical planning and running of the event itself, undertaking wide-ranging tasks such as speaker invitations, follow-up and support; delegate correspondence and attendance monitoring; and liaison with external partners/stakeholders.
- Support the Digital and Multimedia Manager with website and digital

communications functions around events, as well as assisting in keeping the website up to date with events listings, bios and other updates as needed.
- Work on internal communications collateral to promote events and activity using

our brand guidelines, and collating information for and editing the content of regular internal newsletters. You will also support the Development and Executive Programmes Teams with proofing and style-checking their publications.
- Undertaking a range of administrative, day-to-day tasks requiring diligence and

attention to detail. Examples include maintaining accurate lists and records, organising meetings and visits, and formatting documents or images. This work includes supporting all External Relations team members as well as the School more broadly including, when required, supporting relevant other teams in crunch periods.

- A superb command of the English language is essential, including grammar, spelling, punctuation and attention to detail.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
