Gi Group are recruiting a Panel Beater on behalf of a well-established Automotive Company. You will be working as a part of an experienced body shop team, supporting the paint-line department, ensuring that paints are matched and prepared to the highest standards.
Main responsibilities of a Panel Beater
- Stripping and fitting panels.
- Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods.
- Pulling out dents with aid of pin puller, slide hammers, miracle pulled, jig and panel beating hammers.
- Completing minor and major filler work on the panels.
- Supporting body shop team within other departments if required.
- Training body shop trainee staff.
Skills and experience required of a Panel Beater
- Experience in vehicle refurbishment or a vehicle accident repair centre is required.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Panel Beater.
- You will need to work independently on vehicles, and have experience to make decisions when required.
- Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
- You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, delivering high standards.
- Keen eye for detail, professional mannerism and you must be able to work within a successful team.
- You must own your own tools/basic kit.
- Holder of Full UK Driving Licence - Max 6 points and No DD's, DR's or TT99 due to insurance reasons.
